What happens if I exceed my data allowance?

Overview

Once you exceed your included data allowance you can choose to:
  1. Have your data service stop working; or
  2. Have additional data added to your pan in the form of a 'bolt-on'
Importantly; Automatic Bolt-Ons are optional!
To ensure continuity of your service, by default, data 'bolt-ons' will be automatically added to your account

Automatic Bolt Ons

What is it?

  1. 2GB Recurring Bolt On is automatically added to your account when you exceed your data inclusion up to 5 x per billing cycle to ensure continuity of service and reduce bill shock
  2. 1GB Recurring Bolt On is automatically added to your account when the 2GB bolt-ons are exhausted to ensure continuity of service and reduce bill shock
  3. International Roaming Day Pack is added to your account when you opt-in to have more predictable spend when travelling overseas

What options are available?

By default, automatic bolt-ons are switched on; this is to ensure continuity of service.
  1. The automatic bolt-ons can be disabled!
  2. Disabling bolt-ons can be selected in addition to setting your excess usage to $0. 
  3. This means there will be no extra charges on your service, in any circumstances, outside of your plan inclusions.
  4. However, it also means that your service may not function in situations that require excess spending such as dialling internationally, when your included data has been exhausted or when international roaming.

How do I change my default excess usage settings?

To change your default settings, you must contact Honestally or do so via the Mobile Self-Service Portal.
